Properties of Planets
6.E.1.2 - SWABT explain why Earth sustains life while other planets do not based on their properties (including type of surface, atmosphere and gravitational force) and location to the Sun.
- I will compare and contrast the Earth to the other planets in terms of size.
- I will compare and contrast the Earth to the other planets in terms of composition.
- I will compare and contrast the Earth to the other planets in terms of relative distance from the Sun.
- I will compare and contrast the Earth to the other planets in terms of ability to support life.

Scenario - The current world population recently hit a milestone of 7 billion people and many scientists project the human population to top 11 billion as early as 2051. As the number of people increase, so do the environmental concerns and issues facing Earth.
